NATO Strategic Analysis Capability

On October 22, 2018 our MD Michael Stopford met with US Permanent Representative to NATO Ambassador Kay Bailey Hutchison. They discussed NATO’s continuing role in European and Transatlantic security: Ambassador Hutchison is a dedicated advocate of the strength of the Atlantic Alliance in these testing times. The Ambassador was our keynote speaker at OA’s Blenheim Palace concluding dinner for our Global Horizons 2018 dinner last month.

Michael also met with senior NATO leaders for an extensive discussion on looming and prospective security threats and multiple global risks at a two-hour session at NATO HQ hosted by the Strategic Analysis Capability (SAC) for the Secretary General and the Chairman of the Military Committee.

Whilst high-profile geopolitical flashpoints occupy the world’s attention, Oxford Analytica’s view is that tectonic movements and trends around the collapse of the political center, the weakening of multilateral institutions, technological transformation and the rise of information warfare will serve as equally powerful shapers of the world over the next decade.
