Holds an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and both an MRes in International Relations and a BA in Communication from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. Previously worked for nine years for the international news agency EFE where, among other positions, he led the International News Service in Portuguese for three years.

Dr Rory Macleod
Former head of the Global Fixed Income and Currency team at Baring Asset Management in London, also holds a D.Phil in Politics from University of Oxford. From 1985 to 1989, worked in Saudi Arabia as an advisor to the Saudi government, and from 1989 to date has travelled regularly on business to Saudi Arabia.
