Richard RobinsonAnalyst, Middle East
Richard joined Oxford Analytica's Advisory practice in March 2018, before moving to the Analysis team, where he covers Egypt, the Gulf states, Iran and the Levant. He has worked closely with the company's clients in aviation security and the mining sector, as well as assessing the impact of conflict and socio-economic conditions on migration patterns in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Prior to joining the company, Richard spent five years as an analyst for the US government, concentrating on Middle Eastern and North African political and security affairs. His previous experience also includes working as a journalist in Cairo. Richard holds a Bachelor's degree in Oriental Studies from the University of Cambridge and a Master's degree in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Edinburgh. He speaks Arabic, French and German.
